1. BACKGROUND PROJECT

Today, climate change has become a significant challenge that we must face. This time, we use art to convey a concept of harmonious coexistence and emphasize the importance of environmental protection. By showcasing the natural beauty and cultural characteristics of different cities, we aim to generate public attention and support for sustainable development in an animated short film titled “The Path to Zero Carbon.”

如今,气候变化已经成为了我们不得不面对的重大挑战,这一次我们用艺术的形式去传达一种和谐共生的生活理念,同时强调保护环境的重要性。通过展示不同城市的自然美景和文化特色,激发公众对可持续发展的关注和支持来制作动画短片——《零碳之道》。 

2. STORYBOARD 

“The Path to Zero Carbon,” an MG (Motion Graphics) animation, is rich in cultural significance and environmental aspirations. It begins with a scroll slowly unfurling, accompanied by the rising red sun, symbolizing new beginnings and hope. As the scenes unfold, viewers are taken on a green journey through China, showcasing natural landscapes and cultural landmarks from Macao, Chengdu, Beijing, Guizhou, and Nanjing.

《零碳之道》这一部MG动画,浓缩了丰富的文化内涵和环保愿景。它以一幅缓缓展开的卷轴作为开端,天边红日初升,象征着新的开始与希望。随后,画面依次展现了澳门、成都、北京、贵州和南京等地的自然风光与人文景观。随着镜头的推进,观众仿佛踏上了一段穿越中国的绿色之旅。

In Beijing, crystal-clear rivers reflect ancient architecture; in Guizhou, the warmth of Miao village bonfire parties, the melodious music, and the vibrant dances showcase the charm of ethnic minority cultures; the plains and rivers of Chengdu present a serene and harmonious landscape. The lotus flowers of Nanjing and the dragon-shaped kites of Macao add diversity and fun to the story.  3. CHARACTER SETTING

The animation employs the MG (Motion Graphics) style, with meticulous visual treatment and smooth camera movements, infusing each frame with vitality. From the first rays of sunlight to the twinkling stars over Miao village at night, and the gentle ripples in the lotus pond of Nanjing, every detail is carefully crafted to offer a visual and spiritual feast. The entire scene is rendered in soft and fresh tones, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Meanwhile, extensive use of negative space techniques makes the overall composition simple and elegant. The detailed work reflects the author’s profound artistic skills and delicate emotional expression.
